The breath came fast,
for a feeling that wasn’t meant to last.
Crumbling in summer sweat,
with a rage to tear the stained blanket.
Keep up the pace—
her voice trembled above the haze.
This play, like a mouse in a maze,
enjoy the run, yet eager to blaze.
“Is it right to do?”
Her mind whispered,
knowing she would regret
if she chose not to.
It was the time
when the wind covered her around;
being shy was a mistake to be bound.
“Let me undo the threads for you,”
like a mischievous kid.
The wind hissed through her hair,
with nothing left to hold it back.
Her longing to scream out loud,
his eagerness to taste the petrichor.
“Let me press your feet.”
She smiled,
and laid down—
as if she already knew
what was to come.
